Instructions:

  1. Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. While the grill or skillet is heating up, divide the ground beef into four equal portions. Gently shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Press your thumb in the center of each patty to create a slight indentation – this helps the patty cook evenly.
  3. Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
  4. If using a grill, place the patties on the grill grates. If using a skillet, add a bit of oil to the skillet and place the patties on it.
  5. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (for medium, the internal temperature should be around 160°F or 71°C).
  6. In the last minute of cooking, you can add cheese slices to the patties to melt.
  7. While the patties are cooking, you can also toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  8. Once the patties are cooked, assemble your burgers. Place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun, then add your preferred toppings like lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments.
  9. Top with the other half of the bun, and your homemade hamburgers are ready to enjoy!

Feel free to customize your burgers with additional toppings and condiments based on your preferences. Enjoy your delicious homemade hamburgers!
